		<description>While I have to disagree with your opinion of MGS 4, I enjoyed reading the essay.  You made a good point with the timing of our game awards programs.  A lot of the time, we don&#039;t allow games the time to show their true impact.  And don&#039;t get me started on the VGA&#039;s.  As far as Metal Gear, and to some of your specific points:  I think Snake not dying was a cop-out, Meryl was made to be mean-spirited for no apparent reason, Vamp&#039;s reason for being super-human was interesting but as an actual character he annoys the shit out of me(c&#039;mon, they portray him as sort of a gay vampire), and the resolution between Raiden and Rose felt beyond forced.  Sorry for lumping all that together so quickly, but I don&#039;t really want to leave another essay as a comment, lol. Great read, though, and I&#039;m looking forward to check out your other stuff.</description>
