That was a fast response.

Yes that would be a facinating game and would take story progression into completely new areas as far as video games are concerned. The thing is about the subject and presented from the torture's point of view it could not be viewed as a critique of the act, but rather one of those simulators that corrupts society. I don't think my game can stand on it own, but with yours and a combination of other you could weave a story to fully explore the issue. The Bable or Syriana of video games if you will

It would be interesting to see these two sides (and maybe a few other*) dealing with modern warfare in more sophisticated terms than most games you see. Tie them all together with a wider over-arcing plot, but a very mind-fuck approach that leaves you wondering if they were all connected at all, or just a bunch of senseless hostility.

* idea: an illegal wire-tapper. You have to discern between inane suburban chatter and what might be a secret code. Ability to 'call in the strike' at any time, compounded with an interesting story to comment on the player's enjoyment of voyeurism.

* photojournalist in a war-torn third-world country: have to weigh the guilt of not helping your victims as you take careful time to set up the 'perfect shot' (ie the 'Delial' subplot in "House of Leaves", if you've read that)
